The following guide was created by robo.saiyuk on January 2008

This info used to be up on the animaro forums, but its not here now. So I'm reposting this for people who use alchemist and Biochemist

In this guide you were find information on:

1) How to call out a Homunculus
2)what help's the odd's in geting witch one's
3) How to play with your Homunculus

4) What each Homunculus looks like
5) Homunculus AI

1) How to call out a Homunculus

I) Create an Embryo

In order to create an Embryo you need the Pharmacy skill. You will need:
a) 1 Potion Creation Guide
b) 1 Medicine Bowl
c) 1 Glass Tube
d) 1 Morning Dew of Yggdrasil
e) 1 Seed of Life

Use the Pharmacy skill to combine these items together to get your Embryo.

II) Use the skill Call Homunculus and it will take away your Embryo. Once the skill is used you will get one of 8 random pets. If you do not like the pet you get, you wil have to create a new Embryo and try again. 4 pets are more support based and 4 are more offensive. There are actually only 4 different pets, 2 versions for each.

(2)Stat: What it increases the odds of geting:

NOTE: Alot of people generally in RO are divided on the usage of stats to influence the chance of getting said homunculus. Because the system of

getting homunculus is based on random percentages, some people have found that having specific stats would increase the chance of getting a certain homunculus.

Of course this is all speculation, this has only been effective for some.
Based on my experience I can say there is a 50-80% truth in stat influence.

But this has not been tested by everyone, so again don't take this an absolute truth to getting what ever homunculus you want.

STR: Amistr, Filir
AGI: Amistr, Filir
VIT: Amistr, Lif
INT: Vanil, Lif
DEX: Vanil, Lif
LUK: Vanil, Filir

The highest you can increase any homi chance is to ~48% This is by putting in each of the 2 shared stats 25% of avaible points (STR/AGI or INT/DEX) (for a combined 50%), and the non-shared at 50%.

Okay, that was a lousy explination. Here's an example:
STR: 1
AGI: 1
VIT: 50
INT: 25
DEX: 25
LUK: 1

This will give you these odds:
Amistr: 25.24271844660194
Vanil: 24.75728155339806
Lif: 48.54368932038835
Filir: 1.4563106796116505

Leveling your Homunculus:

Correct Formula posted by Shadowfuax
I found that if you sit down, it can screw with the AI, and you won't Auto- Potion Pitch. Which you will then need to tele/FW to fix it.

Also, the Homunculus xp formula in the post is incorrect. After reading the Homunculus System topic in the official iRO wiki, the formula should be:

A= Monster's Base xp
B= Monster's Health
C= Damage done to moster by Homunculus

Homunculus xp gained = A*(C/B)

So, lets give an example. Say we were killing geographers with our homunculus. Geographers give 13575 Base experience (which is the only experience Homunculus level off of), and have 8071 health. Now if our Homunculus does all the damage to the Geographer our formula would look like this:

Homunculus xp gained = 13575*(8071/8071)
= 13575*(1)
= 13575 xp

Now according to the official iRO wiki, if the player doesn't do any damage to the target, and lets the Homunculus do 100% damage, the player will gain 100% of the Base xp as well. But, if the player even does 1 point of damage, players Base xp gain will be 125%. So let's factor in this new information, with our player doing 1 point of damage to the Geographer.

Homunculus xp gained = 13575*(8070/8071)
= 13757*(0.9999)
=13573.6 xp

The player would gain with that one point of damage:

Player Base xp gained = 13575*1.25
= 16978.75 xp

We can also make a formula for how much Job xp our player will get by participating in the battle. According to iRO wiki, the player gains Job xp based on how much damage the player deals to the monster (with the same 125% xp boost as the Base xp). So our formula would be:

A= Monster's Job xp
B= Monster's Health
C= Damage done to monster by the player

Player Job xp gained = [A*(C/B)]*1.25

Let's take our Geographers again. Geographer give 10000 Job xp each. Lets say our player did 1000 points of damage to the Geographer:

Player Job xp gained = [10000*(1000/8071)]*1.25
= [10000*(0.1239)]*1.25
= [1239]*1.25
= 1548.75 Job xp gained

Hope this helps clarify how xp works.

Evolving your Homunculus:
In order to evolve your pet you will need to raise its intimacy to loyal. A loyal intimacy level requires 100,000 intimacy points. Once you meet this requirements then you will need a Philosopher's Stone to evolve your pet.

Basically MirAI for some people is the best and easiest AI to configure and use, but let that stop you from using other AI tools.
Rampage AI is also a good alternative. But not to over complicate things heres the link for mirAI
