The following guide was created by konstantin.neo on July 2011

Do read this guide in its totality before you actually start.
This guide aims to explain how to level up the fast way without any special gears. You start from zero and work your way up, but faster than other methods. This requires multi clienting. Usually you see post like “Where do I level X my lvl is Y” and players complaining about how hard it is to level certain classes. This attempts to show the optimal way for newer players. It is probably best used on AnimusRO since it relies on custom maps of this server. While you read this you might think that is very complicated, but consider this, you will only be playing 1 character at a time, so it is simple and since you are going to switch between characters you won’t get a feeling of being stuck at a particular level. You will take full advantage of mobbing and killing medium to big sized mobs with little effort and with only 2 pieces of cheap and easily obtainable gear.

Do go and VOTE consistently on http://www.jellyro.com/index.php?p=vote it will help you later on to get some gears.

THEORY:
To optimize killing/buffing/picking up you are going to use 3 different classes at once. The easiest way to kill mobs at lower level and at the highest EXP/loot rates is to use a mage in gh prison to toast zombie prisoners and skeleton prisoners with Fireball. You can get fireball lvl 10 when you get your first 14 job levels, 4 job levels are spent on Firebolt as pre requisite for Fireball.
Second you will need a tank and buffs (HEAL,AGI+, BLESS,ANGELUS), for this your second class will be Acolyte. Yes. Imho, the best tank for prison is a Monk with Mental Strenght skill or otherwise know as Steel Body, using Loli Ruri armor and Teddy Bear (or more expensive Tirfing) carded guard. But this is yet in the future.
Third, you will need to optimize the time you are going to pick up, store and profit from the drops, thus you will create your third class as Merchant, Overcharge will be primary for profit and Greeding the prime source of loots at the beginning. When you feel tired of leveling switch to the Smith and go greed, when you had enough, put him to vend steels, elus and anything you like.

HOW TO DO IT:
You create your first character, it is your choice to take the introduction to Ragnarok or jump right in and be tele’ed to Prontera, if you take the intro you will get some Novice Pots, 300 iirc.
From Prontera walk south 1 map and kill some Porings 2 or 3 at most, pick up the loot and walk back to Prontera up to the fountain in the middle, sell your loot then buy at the Novice Shop NPC all the novice gear that costs 1z.
a.- Equip the novice gear, let the Doc heal you and go 1 map south and 1 map west to kill Rockers and PoPorings. Use all stat points to raise STR. Level up to 15 base and 10 job, remember to pick up the loot. Now either kill yourself by un equipping your gear and fighting a mob or walk all the way back to Prontera. Create your second(and later third) character on separate accounts, bring him/her to Prontera and pass the gears from the 1st character. Now repeat all the process from (a.-), create your third character and repeat from (a.-)
Ok so now you have 3 novices with job level 10 ready to change to different jobs.

Optimizing Leveling
Beginner's Weapons
Do the job changing quest with your characters, this way you will obtain Beginner's Weapons that give +20% EXP until level 80, 10% until level 95, that plus Zombie Prisoner carded foot gear will make it +30% boost to your EXP. A poor's man 2x Dracula cards right there, Zombie prisoner card will only work for undead monsters, the Beginners Weapon will work on all mob.
For the Mage the Beginner's Staff gives +300 HP, +100 SP, +10% ASPD, +10% Cast Reduction
For the Merchant the Beginner's Axe gives +500 HP, Cart Revolution Damage +30%, +2 to all stats
For the Acolyte the Beginner's Mace gives +300 HP, +100 SP Heal Effectiveness +30%, +10 Int

Job changing quests: http://ratemyserver.net/quest_db.php?type=60000

You will only change jobs on 2 of them for now, make and Acolyte and a Merchant, leave the other one as Novice since with the novice gear they practically own the prontera fields and are fast leveling characters. Dump all of your loot on to the Merch. Take the Aco and from the Prontera’s fountain walk into southwest building (the one with a chimney puffing smoke) and use the ResetterNPC to reset your stats, it will cost you 1k zenny. After reset assign stats by typing "/int+ 99" w/o quotes into the chat and all your stat points will go to INT. Leave the Merch with STR since it increases carrying capacity.

Organize a party on your remaining Novice by typing in chat “/organize PARTYNAMEHERE” and then rightclick on the Aco and Merch, invite them into your party and accept party invitation, back to Novice, click on the ‘party setup’ and make sure you check the HOW TO SHARE EXP - EVEN SHARE, so you leech exp to your party.
Now you can use /ns command (set it to OFF) and then Shift – Right Click on your novice from Aco and Merch so they autofollow the novice and bring the novice back, one map south and one west from Prontera. Work your way to the west side killing Poporings and Rockers.

While the novice won’t get any job exp, your priest will and you should put your first Aco’s job points onto HEAL until level 10 and then into Increase AGI. At base lvl17 leveling will get slow, walk 1 map west and fight Orc Warriors, use the Aco to heal the novice because Orc Warriors will hurt him. This way you can take 1 Orc Warrior at a time and do it until lvl 20ish, it will be enough.
You can use job level points on the Merch for Overcharge so you can profit more from the drops. Remember to leave in storage the items you will need for Mage job quest.

Now suicide your Aco and Merch characters or walk them to Prontera, if you messed up your SKILLS somehow just use Hypnotist to reset your skills for FREE, the Hypnotist NPC is standing right beside the Novice Shop NPC. Take your novice and go the map that is 2 south of Prontera, there kill Drops (they look like Porings only yellow in color) until you will get a Rod [4] (identify it with the Merch), use it first on Aco for healing in Prison, after that equip it on Mage. Alternatively you can buy the Rod [4] if you find it cheap, like 1-4k. Use the Vend Browser from the www.animusro.com web page, look in the top of the web site for the VendBrowser button, then type ROD in the search field. Up to this part it took me about an hour and a half to get. Here the fun part begins. Change your remaining novice into a Mage, reset his stats and assign all to INT and only raise INT from there on, you could eventually raise DEX to 20-30 tops if you like, that plus bless lvl10 will make Fireball cast faster.

Then take them all the the Anne, the ex-stylist and let her teleport you all to prison, remember to AGI+ your characters so they can make it quick, walk the Mage and the Merch into the usual hiding place.

Sit them there and use the Aco to go heal Zombie Prisoners and Skeleton Prisoners, take all loot that you see abandoned, remember to use Shift key to use HEAL offensively on the mob, alternatively use /ns command and heal them directly. All this phase is for is to gain the 14 job levels on the Mage, so the power of splash damage spells (AoE) can be used.

You will probably be killed quite a few times here in prison but just heal and be back for more. It won’t take long. Just go to the area where all newbie’s go, that is the 9 o clock, in the open area where players gather, and kill/steal heal zombies since you won’t kill anyone alone just yet. Injustices are not damaged by heal, so don’t heal them.
All stats assign to INT since it maximizes the HEAL effectiveness and SP regen and the skill points to Increase AGI, then to BLESS. Since those are the buffs you will use on the Mage. This should take you 30 min to an hour.

After Mage’s 14 job levels are done, hide the Aco with the Merch and use the Mage (remember to equip the Rod) to mob and to kill large mobs. Assign the next 10 job levels on SP regen skill, then on Firewall. Remember to ask for Bless from Priests that you will encounter, after your Aco has Bless you will be able to buff yourself.

Mage tactic:
Walk or flywing to a fairly open area, begin to draw attention of the mob and walk them while gathering more. If the mob is coming in front of you just go to the side, make a circle around your bigger mob and let them all be joined. When you feel that you have enough mob, start firing Fireball at them while standing at a safe distance of 5-7 squares, aim at the center of your mob. If you do it correctly your mob will rush to the spot where you fired your Fireball, while you run around your mob to a different position and Fireball from there again. This way no matter how newb your mage is he can damage a huge number of mob, if your SP depletes before you kill them just run/fly to your hiding place and heal/buff/sit the mage with the priest, someone else will kill that mob and you will see your level go up. If the mob kills you, heal quick with the Doc and rush back into prison, so if anyone kills the mob you get the EXP for the damage you have dealt, if you are outside you will lose it. Ideally you will use Fly Wings if you see Zombie’s hands clap on your head, or Skeletons Ball raising on your head. Do use Fly Wings, they are cheap and can save your butt. Remember to purchase any supply using the lvl 10 Discount with the Mechant. Wizards are squishy and it is a waste of points on Vit as of yet.

Do not get preoccupied with the loot at this point. I mean pick it up if you wish but you will get your z with the BlackSmith at a much faster rate. Level your Merch up to job lvl40 and then change jobs to BlackSmith, the only thing this Smith is for, is Greed, it saves you a LOT of time picking up loot, use the Platinum Skills NPC to activate Greed Skill (you will reborn him later anyway so you will level him to job 50 as a High Merch after rebirth). Do level your Acolyte to job lvl50 before changing jobs to Monk. You could use the room to the right of the hiding place to do your mob killing and use your Smith to run for the loot, Greed on it and rush back to hide. Just go to the character select screen with the Mage so he is not standing there to be killed.

In this part you will be saving for a Frilldora Card (~400k) and carded garment that a Mage can use. A hood[1] or a muffler[1] would be ideal. Frilldora will enable you to use Cloak lvl1 which is very helpful while mobbing. The skill will activate only if you are against the wall or a pillar or an obstacle on the floor, you will disappear from your mob sight, walk 3-4 squares away from the mob (remaining by the wall) and then either walk away from the wall or use skill again to reappear. This maneuver will stack your mob together, repeat the maneuver 2 or 3 times and all of them will be in 1 square, at which point Fireball them away while kiting around the mob, keep 5-6 squares between the Mage and the mob before casting Fireball. Using Frilldora the size of the mob you can manage at once is pretty much the whole map if you go at those lengths.

It took me 2 hours to level my party from base level 31 to 54 and reach 40 job levels on the Merch, after that I changed job to Smith, got Pushcart to 10 and Weight Limit 10, Overcharge10, Discount 3 and there is some leftover if you want Vend. Since I haven’t assigned stat points on my Merch for a while, I used some to raise INT for greeding purposes and a bit of Vit so he can take 2 or 3 blows. Now disconnect the Mage and leave the Aco for AGI+ and heal and go happy greeding on abandoned loots, you are sure to be tired of using Mage by now. Buy like 200 flywings to escape tight situations. Remember to have your cart rented. If you see the red icon of 50% weight limit, just press Alt-E and Alt-W and move all loot (except the flywings) to the cart.

It took me about an hour on weekend to greed enough for a mil. There are a lot of players that do not care or don’t have time to pickup so take advantage. After you have you money, go shopping for Frilldora.

Keep leveling your party until you reach 50 job levels and change Mage to <3 Wizard <3 or a Sage if you prefer and Acolyte to Monk, keep putting up more INT, if you wish some DEX too. Since Fireball casts fairly quick you don’t depend so much on DEX, try StromGust and it is another story, but the only spell you need here is Fireball. Take in account that once you change job to Wizard you wont be able to use the Beginners weapon any more, use a Rod[4] Drops cards (~200k) on the Rod[4] will help, if you see another Rod/Wand/Staff that you like and the price is good, buy it, just check the level requirements on it, +10Rod[4xDrops] goes for about 1mil. You could just keep leveling your Mage after you have reached job lvl50, just to receive the benefits of +20 exp boost, do take in account that if you wish to to to Niff you will need Meteor Storm which is a skill of the Wizard.
As for your tank, you will need 31 Skill Points (job lvl32) to reach MentalStrenght lvl 5 (Steel Body), if you have got Loli Ruri card (500k good price) equip it on an armor for the Monk, ideally on a Formal Suit[1], Skeleton Prisoner drops it, you might see it in prison it looks like a Shirt, grab it. The tactic is to teleport the monk away, but within the distance to reach your party and with time to kill the mob, cast SteelBody and walk to your Wizard, kill using fireball, greed with the Smith, rinse and repeat. LoliRuri will heal lvl3 with 5% chance on receiving damage and basically your tank should be invincible, sometimes you will get killed though. Gears that will make your Monk last a lot more are Teddy Bear carded Guard for 30% reduction from undead race monsters, Raydric or Deviling carded garment 5 mil and 15 mil respectively. Eddga shoes/sandals (about 15mil) are helpful but since the mobs here are slow you can easily go without Eddgas provided that you are careful no to get hit too much. SoulRing about 5-6 mil is nice but not essential. Use the eluniums you gather to upgrade your gears to safe levels.
If you have the gears for the Monk specified here you will be doing 5 mil per 3-4 hours plus all the steels and elus you will save.
This is basically it. From here on save and purchase gears for your characters.
When you have a proper tank you will be able to level 5 characters at once to level 80 in as much as 4 hours.

Where, what, how to get gear for your TANK
Head Gear
Soul Ring
1% chance of casting level 1 Assumptio on your character upon receiving damage. Assumptio will half the damage received.
Very useful. Price 5~6 mil tops (its 5ads in store).

GUARD[1] or STONE BUCKLER[1]
Guard is cheaper, Stone Buckler will add 5% resistance against large sized monsters for later times. Choose according to your budget. Either of them can be equipped by all classes, choose which ever you want.

Shield Cards
Tirfing card reduces 25% of the damage taken from all medium sized monsters and all prison monsters are medium sans the Hunter Flies. Tirfing will be useful with many maps where medium sized monsters prevail.
For prison only or undead only purposes Teddy Bear is the best card, it reduces by 30% damage that undead race monsters deal to you, which is the whole prison sans the Hunter Flies.
Both of them cost 5 ad credits at the shop http://www.jellyro.com/index.php?p=shop&action=cat&cat=33 therefore only spend 6 mill or less on them in zenny. If you have the zenny and the prices for +4 or less gears with those cards are above 6 mil then trade zenny for ad credits in game with other players, usually 1~1.2mil per ad is ok. Teddy Bear is now 2ads and Tirf is still 5 ads.

Armor
Formal Suit[1]
Is dropped by Skeleton Prisoner and you probably should have it by now, if not then it sells at about 300k.

Armor Card
Loli Ruri
Goes for 1 ad so don’t spend more than 1mil on it in game (1 ad in store). It will make your tank invincible, the more mob is hitting him the more it heals. Lvl 3 heal is activated 5% of the times you get hit. It’s a LOT.

Garment
Muffler[1]
Cards Raydric 5ads or Deviling 20ads , 20% and 50% neutral damage reduction respectively. You can get Deviling at 15m sometimes a devi carded garment is sold for less but do check if you can equip it on Aco class.

FOOTGEAR
Shoes[1]/Sandals[1]
Card Eddga 10ads , not an essential gear but helps by enabling endure as long as you have those equipped.

Weapon
Dex Survival Rod[1] with Drops card will add +400HP and +4 DEX. Not essential.

About Stats.
You’ll need 200+8+8+8+8+8= 240SP for a Steel body cast, 200sp for the SB and 5sp each sphere, also consider BLESS and AGI cost. With INT=1 you have 360SP points, SP regen will be slow though. Mostly spend stats on VIT/DEX.
Cast 5 Spirit Spheres on yourself and go gather a mob that you can comfortably handle, drive them to a point in the map from where you can cast Steel Body and walk back by another route while gathering more mobs, make it to your Mage with time left over to kill the mob. You could add next 5~ skill points to Flee or to Spiritual Cadence, it’s your choice. Stock up some cakes for when it gets tough.

For cakes you could go to ToyFactory or do the Moscovia Dungeon access quest and /memo the entrance with your monk and so you can tele your whole party there (or just ask for a warp and /memo it), farm in the Mosc Dun 3 which will get you very good EXP and also cakes from Baba Yaga at 60% drop rate. Very good place and not as packed as prison. Recommended from 7x level. Work it the same way as prison. Go to character selection screen with Wiz/Smith and work the map with Monk, bring the mob to the Wiz, log in both Wiz and Smith, kill the mob with Lord of Vermillion and Mavkas with fire, greed, give Milk, Bread, Leaflet, Fish to monk for healing, logout, repeat.

When you have your Eddgas and Devi then go to Niff (Skellington) and start making bigger bucs. The mob at Prison hits you harder than the mob in Skellington, so if you have some of the gear you should try it and see if it works for you. The pay is definitely better in Niff. You will need to get Salamander card and a slotted garment, it will give +50% damage with Meteor Storm which is needed in niff.
