Beginner weapons are obtained after completing your 1-1 Job Change Quest.
They are not tradable and not refineable.

Related Quest
If for any reason, you have already Job changed to any of the first classes via the the Job Changer NPC, you still have an alternative way to obtain the Newbie Weapon of your class.
1. Go to Prontera (around prontera 121, 148) and talk to the Kafra Scientist.
2. Bring the ingredients she asks you for. It varies depending on your class.
3. She will later tell you that she doesn't have Newbie Weapons anymore, so you'll have to check what's wrong with the shipment coming from Aldebaran to Prontera. Talk to the Boss of wrecked shipment at (prt_fild02 242, 369).
4. Go back to the Kafra Scientist at Prontera, she will ask you to go to the Kafra HQs at Aldebaran to get a new wheel for the shipment. Kafra HQs is located at 10 'o clock (Top left corner) of Aldebaran, go inside the west warp of the building and meet with a red haired Kafra.
5. Once you get the wheel from Kafra HQs.Go back to the Boss at (prt_fild02 242, 369),he will thank you for your help and give you a Newbie Weapon of your class.
