IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is a way to talk on the internet with multiple users in real time. There are mainly two ways to connect. You can use a web application on your browser or download and install a client application.

AnesisRO's IRC channel is a chat room that is open to all players and always has numerous users in it, both old and new. Staff members also frequent IRC to chat with players. The aRO server and IRC server are entirely separate, so the IRC channel will usually be available for questions and conversation during server maintenance and other downtime.

Using an IRC Web App

AnesisRO Chat Room

Click the link and a web page will open. Enter a nickname, click continue, and you're in!

You may need to give the application permission to run in your browser.

Using an IRC Client

If you become interested in using IRC frequently, installing an IRC client on your computer will allow you to log your chats, create scripts and alias commands, and many other customizable options.

One of the most widely used IRC clients is mIRC. It has a 30-day evaluation period, but you can continue using it for free after that if you wish.
