Your First Contributions to the Wiki

Expanding Stub Articles

An easy way to start contributing to the wiki is by expanding Stubs. Stubs are pages that have been created with barely any information. Start writing by clicking the "Edit" button in the top right corner of the article you wish to expand. Even small contributions are highly appreciated!

Basic Formatting

Formatting text on the wiki is very similar to formatting text on the forums. The help files below provide some basic reference to the wiki's markup.

Editor Categories

The following categories contain pages that need work to meet wiki standards of quality:

Stubs - Cleanup - Missing Information - Verification Required - Deletion

Wiki Tasks

Once you are familiar with how the wiki works, visit the JellyRO Wiki: Tasks project page to see a list of specific articles that need attention. The Project page and Discussion cover:

  • Priority articles
  • Unclaimed/collaborative tasks
  • Wiki improvements and concerns

JellyRO Wiki Rules

All edits must follow the JellyRO Rules.
Inappropriate content, server/player/staff disrespect, and mention of other private servers will not be tolerated.
Guides and Walkthroughs
(1) In order to promote exploration, please ask Halcyon for approval before creating a walkthrough for an event or other custom content.
Vandalism is strictly prohibited
(1) Vandalism will result in severe punishment extending to forum and game account suspension.
(2) Do not deliberately add, remove, or change any existing wiki pages in order to compromise the integrity of the wiki. This means you are not allowed to intentionally add false information, fill pages with spam, delete or erase content from existing pages for no reason, create useless pages full of useless or blank content, or add any content that breaks the JellyRO Rules.
(3) Users who find traces of vandalism should revert any malicious editing and report vandalized articles to Halcyon for immediate review.
Editing Wars
(1) If two users cannot agree on changes to a particular wiki page and keep editing it, please consult Halcyon to resolve the issue.
(2) Further tampering with resolved content may result in page protection, revoked editing privileges to those involved, and may extend to forum account punishment.

Naming Main Articles

When creating a new article, it is generally better to use the plural form of common nouns. If the title would sound particularly awkward as a plural, then use the singular. Pages that redirect to main articles can be singular.

eg. "Pets" and "Cards are better article titles than "Pet" and "Card".
eg. "Server Information" and "Forging" are better article titles than "Server Informations" and "Forgings" which sound awkward.
eg. "Anne the Stylist", "Endless Tower" and "Rune-Midgarts" are not common nouns so the above does not apply.
