Valour and Victory : A mini guide to levelling Knights with NPC or non mvp gear.
Contents
Introduction
This is a short guide that explains how to level a knight to 99 in the quickest period with no MVP cards/Donation gears. It also teaches you how to raise money for the gears that you need to use for the next level. Since it is a mini guide - I will no get into details with builds and basics. I assume you know how knight skills work - Look up a website if you dont. This guide is simply a path of how you reach 99 in a quick period of time with low end gears. Also since it deals with the quickest levelling - the Knight variant will be a Str-Vit-Dex type Vit knight. These guys start out slow but become fast after 66 lvl. On the contrary Agi knights start out faster but become slower towards the end.
Levelling, Gears and the Journey
Stage 1: The Beginning
Start out as a Novice as make sure you keep playing it as a novice till level 40- Thing with novices is that you get gear that costs only 6z and gives you great gear that boosts HP/SP both. As soon as you reach 40 - go to the job changer and change yourself into a swordsman. Now since the Novice gears are useless - toss them out carefully. I strongly suggest you to raise atleast 700k using Method 1 in my zeny guide for newbies. This usually takes 2-3 hours but will be useful to you right now. Buy a Helm[1] for 100k, Buy a NPC Greaves[0] from Yuno, Full plate[0] from izlude armour NPc, Shield[1] for 100k, a manteau[0] from the NPC. An iron cain for 5k (You cant use this till lvl 50 though). Make a SMile mask which is fairly easy to make . Buy 2 clips[1] for 35k each. Buy a Tsurugi[1] from the npc - Put in any card you like. Now wear these gears. Buy meats , Awake pots, Fly wings,GJs from the money you are left with.
Stage 2: The Path to Knight
HP Recover lvl 10
Bash lvl 10
1 handed mastery lvl 10
2 handed mastery lvl 1
Magnum break 5
Provoke lvl 5
Endure .
If you want more of endure - go past job 42. However when you turn into a Knight you can simply remove sword mastery and get more endure by re skilling. So its pointless to toil beyond job 42 as a Swordman - but thats upto you. Should you run out of supplies at any stage - make more zeny using method 1 of my Newbie Zeny guide. Make sure you have a merchant with vending - since if you play in Biblian you are bound to end up with rare items and cards which can get you more money.
As for stats the 3 stats you got to invest in are Str-vit-dex. Even if the starting set up doesnt allow you to put 9 in all of them at one time - you can change your stats to maximize Str,Vit,Dex. Make sure Luk,int and Agi are all 1 - You dont need these stats at this point of the journey.
One could argue that you can go agi and then change to vit later but thats not needed you will be spamming bash on strong monsters - Agi will give you ASPD but not flee so you ll get hurt a lot. Vit will reduce most of this damage.
Invest most points into str and make sure you aim multiples of 10.
So at lvl 50 you should have a total of 60 str. 40 vit and rest into dex.
Str should be gives most priority followed by vit and dex. Dex is needed to connect damage hence you need to put points in to dex. Whenever you become a Knight you gain a lot of HP and some ASPD as well - Whenever you become a knight - you are ready to engage stronger monsters.
Stage 3: The Quest for Power
At lvl 75 do a run through of the market and buy these items :
Thara frog card for maximum 800k - Put it in the shield[1] you bought in the past.
You should be using the iron cain you bought at lvl 40 lol.
Buy a Fin helmet for 50k.
Buy a Pasana Card for 700k. Buy a Full plate[1] for 100k = Slot the card in the armour.
Or Buy a cheap Volcano armour[0] for 100k from a merchant
If you have managed to amass more then 6M zeny - you can buy a matyr card for 1.5M max and a Greaves[1](200k) and put the card in it.
Buy Eluniums(10k) and make all your gear +4.
Buy a suitable helmet card - Id recommend Leib Olamai for 300k - It gives 10% Resist to fire I believe.
Buy an Ice Pike from a forger (preferably Ranked - /blacksmith command lists ranked smiths) , Make this weapon +7.
Alternate Better Weapon : Quad Orc Lady carded Pike.
Now its time for Stage 4: The path of Hard work
Stage 4: Stage of Hard work
Re stat your stats and again return to Str/Vit/dex- you will no more need Agi
Re Skill and after adjusting the swordmen skills get spear mastery and all other skills required to unlock Brandish spear. Try to get as high lvl of Bran Spear you can get - dont worry if the skills arent maxed yet. They will be maxed eventually. Dont take Sword skills like 2 hand quicken anymore. Invest points on only spear skills and make sure you have Cavalier mastery at 5.
Some good things drop here. Steels which sell for 1-2k, Rough Oris which sell for 2-3k and the rare Earring[1] which sells for 6-9M.
At lvl 90 you should be able to raise an additional 15~20M via the drops here.
Stage 5: The Finale to 99
Now repeat the process as you had before but with a slight difference.
Take your time at this stage and raise money for better gears . - If you can raise another 25M you can buy a pair of Dark Lord Greaves. Though this is hard and requires you to kill orcs for steels and Oris constantly for a long time. This way you will reach 99 and then trans.
Stage 6 : Realization
Along the path you learn that how profitable a Knight is at making money and mobbing. You also realise that you dont need to start out rich but eventually end up being rich. You can very well play w/o Donation gears and MVP cards . I guess that concludes this mini guide.
Hunting Locations for zeny making with Knight (Advanced)
Before you dive into this read the gear requirements - this is for Mid tiers or people who have a semi set of MVP carded gears.
I have assumed that you can now buy Kahos,DL sleips and MVP carded gears. This is not a part of the Training guide - It is for all kinds of LKs.
Hunting locations
1] Seals at comodo beach : Hunt here from 80+ as Knight or 70+ as Lord Knight. Use a gungir and make sure you have water armours . Spam bran on seal mobs and pierce on Mobsters or bran Mobsters if more then 1 . Watch out for looting Galapagos.
2] Geffen 2/3 Dungeon. Geffen 3 is known as Geffenia if you type /where in it.: These dungeons require you to have an Elemental Weapon - Id recommend a VVS Ice Lance is lvl 2 and a VVS Fire Lance in Lvl 3 . Collect and bran stuff. You could MVP too but I wont explain the gears needed for that :p - Money is in form of Oridecons,Cards,Infiltrators, Old Blue boxes
3] Geffen 4 : Use a Brocca spear and if possible come with a priest support. Use a Khalitz shield and a bathory armour. Make mobs of 6-15 monsters at max nad spam Asperioed brocca Bran on em.
4] Anolians 3 east of Comodo city: Get a water armour , Raffelessia shield and a Gungir . Make mobs ranging from 2-20 and spam brandish . If you run into mutant dragonoid - either avoid it or spam Pierce. Money in form of Oridecons and Brooches[1]
5] Lighthalzen 2: If you can afford to make a +10 HydraX2, Skel WorkerX2 Pike you can even play mobbing in Lighthalzen 2.
6] Raydrics in Glast Chivalry 2 :Use a Brocca , Fire Armour and a Toad/Thara shield to play here. Priest is recommended but not compulsory.
7] Abyss Lakes Dragons: use a 2 handed Lk with parry here with possible a Dragonkiller sword. Priest support is advised
8] Pyramids lvl5 : Use a VVS Ice Pike or ICe Lance, Fire armour and mob pasanas, Matyrs etc. Watch out for Pharoah
9] Bylan lvl 4/5 : Easy to play - get a water armour and a gungir with raffelessia shield and spam bran and earn loads of money.
