Download and Install

My installer is corrupt!
  1. Redownload it.
  2. Use a download manager (http://freedownloadmanager.org).
  3. Ask a friend with a faster connection speed to download it for you.
The main server downloads don't work!

2. Try the main server download again, and report it via support ticket if it doesn't work.

Patching and Errors

I'm getting sprite/palette errors!

  1. Patch your client using Animuspatch.exe.
  2. Patch your client using Ragnarok_RE.exe.
Make sure all clients are closed while patching!

My Ragnarok_RE is blank/won't patch!

  1. If you get a blank patcher, download http://providence.project-dissonance.com/tools/patcher/PatchClient.zip.
  2. If you're unable to patch, download http://providence.project-dissonance.com/tools/patcher/Ragnarok_RE.exe.

I'm getting "Cannot init d3d OR grf file has a problem" errors!

A. Start setup.exe and change your resolution, and/or disable fullscreen. If you cannot change the resolution, i.e. the list box is empty, then your video card drivers are missing, which you will then need to reinstall them. Find out the name of your video card, then go to the site of your manufacturer and look for the drivers, or simply google the name and add 'driver', and you'll most likely find them.

I'm getting "Failed to connect to server" errors!
  1. Download the proper Animuspatcher.exe and drag into your RO folder. Select yes to replace. Run Patcher.
  2. Make sure your sdata is also current, try redownloading the Mini Installer.
I'm getting "Init Audio/Sound" errors!
  1. Run Setup.exe and change the sound settings until they work.
  2. Make sure your sound drivers are updated/installed correctly.


Clienting and Errors

I can't dual/multi client, my second screen freezes!
  1. Turn off User Account Control if using Windows Vista or Windows 7.
  2. Disable fullscreen in the setup.exe in the RO folder.
  3. Make sure your computer is able to support multiple clients.

A. Run setup.exe application and change the resolution. Otherwise, an update on your graphics driver is needed.

I'm getting "Failed to connect to server" errors!
  1. Wait several minutes before trying to log in again. Multiple wrong login attempts will usually temporarily lock the account.
  2. Check to see if there are any major updates you need to patch for.
  3. Check to see if the server itself is down/having issues.
I'm lagging really badly!
  1. Check to make sure your internet connection is working properly.
  2. Check to make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements for the game.
  3. Check your time to make sure it's not 10am CST server time, as the lag that results at that time is due solely to our ISP. Come back and play later.
