Since Talis is going to be adding rewards for doing the novice grounds, I figured I'd make a guide to them so you can get the most out of it.
I realize this is pretty pointless but I'm bored so why not.
The correct option on the NPCs is always the first option, so you can just spam enter if you want to. (unless noted)
1. Talk to Shion 2 times. The second time will level you.
2. Walk to the right and enter the castle portal.
3. Talk to the Receptionist and enter your name. Apply for training.
4. Talk to Interfaces Tutor two times.
5. Talk to Skill Tutor to your left.
6. Talk to Item Tutor to your right two times. Let her send you to field combat training.
7. Talk to 'Helper' to your left.
A screen will pop up asking if you want more information on Monsters, etc. Just hit cancel/quit unless you really want to read it.
You'll receive no benefit from reading all options.
8. Talk to Entrance Guard and let her send you.
9. Hit a monster and die. You'll be warped back.
10. Equip your novice items.
11. Talk to the entrance guard again. She'll level you and give you more items.
12. Talk to 'Trainer' and select 'I do want more of a challenge~"
I'd recommend getting job 10 here.
Tip: If you're going to do the archer job quest, you can collect your trunks here rather than walking to the map.
13. Talk to Test Examiner.
14. Talk to Bruce. You don't really have to select the class you are going to be you can just hit enter.
15. Talk to Hanson. Doing the personality test isn't a requirement. Doing so will allow you to warp to a more convenient location for your job quest.
You'll receive some crappy items as well, for example a swordsman will receive a Falchion [3].
If you chose to warp "directly to ragnarok online" you will be warped outside a random city.
(I'm putting in a suggestion for you to be able to chose the town you warp to since this is rather annoying.)
